These mattress toppers are good for eliminating dust mites from inhabiting your mattress. They are also hypoallergenic. The only disadvantage with latex mattress toppers is that they can be quite expensive.

Latex core mattress pads have wool or cotton covers and is very comfortable. They are also very expensive, like the pure latex kind. Most are also heavy, about 70 lbs. and already considered like a mini-mattress. These mattress pads come in either 3.5 or 5 inch thickness.

Memory foam mattress toppers are also very expensive. One of the functions of having a mattress topper is to add comfort or support to a mattress that may be too firm. With the memory foam mattress topper, the body weight that is being put into it does not spring back like most memory foam mattresses. The foam the memory foam mattress uses also causes discomfort for people who sweat a lot, since memory foam is a synthetic kind of rubber foam, unlike latex. There is a tendency for the foam to have an unpleasant odor because of the trapping of sweat in the fabric of the mattress topper. Like the synthetic foam, it also does not allow the body to “breathe”.

Latex mattress toppers, though expensive can give the extra comfort and support that people may be looking for in their mattresses. It can give extra hours of comfortable sleep and help prolong the life of your mattresses. The latex and latex core mattress toppers may be expensive, but they can be worth the luxury and comfort that they give.
