How To Repack A Tuft And Needle Mattress

Whether you are moving a mattress from one to another room or for a new address, you need to know how to repack a mattress. Repack your mattress is not a simple task. You need to work in a systematic way of doing that.

If you are a user of Tuft and needle mattress then, you received a nice wrapping box with mattress. You can easily repack your mattress in that box. Don’t worry if you lose your Tuft and Needle mattress box. Here we give some tips that will be helpful when you repack Tuft and Needle mattress:

Mattress bag: At first you need to manage a good plastic mattress bag. Where you can wrap mattress.  Make sure that the bag is the same size as your mattress. If you try to pack your mattress forcefully in the small size of the mattress box that can damage the thickness of the mattress. So, try to find out a proper size mattress bag for repacking your Tuft and Needle mattress. It is best to use a sealable plastic bag because they are the safest option to hold any kind of mattress.

Duct tape: Duct tapes help you by securing the mattress bag. It ensures that the bag will never open until you want. This tape can very much effective to fix anything. If you use a sealable mattress bag then we also suggest you use some duct tape for extra security.

Ratchet straps: It is also called tie-down straps. They are not so expensive but very much effective. Ratchet straps help you by grabbing the mattress and bag strongly.

Vacuum bag: We advise you to don’t use the actual vacuum bag because it creates so much pressure on your mattress. You can get a smaller one and then the attached valve to it because this valve will help with removing the air and compressing your mattress.

Steps for repacking a Tuft and Needle

Remove the bedding: Firstly you require to take off pillows, mattress protectors, sheets, etc. from the bed. You need to make your bed total empty for repacking.

Roll it up: Now you need to roll the mattress and bedding. Folding your Tuft and Needle mattress nicely to repack it comfortably. Be careful when you roll it up. If you roll the mattress unevenly then it will be done damage to your mattress. Be careful when you roll a Tuft and Needle mattress.

Put the mattress in the bag: It is time to put the Tuft and Needle mattress into your collected bag. Your mattress smoothly goes on in the right size bag.

Seal it up: Now you can seal the mattress bag by using tape. This keeps your mattress secured under the bag. If you use a vacuum bag then you need to attach the valve to it but ensure that the diameter of the valve matches the width of your hose.

Vacuum the air out: After attaching the vacuum hose to the valve now you can turn on the vacuum. It makes your mattress smaller that might help you to repack the Tuft and Needle mattress. It is wise to attach the valve to the width portion of the mattress.

Strap it: By using ratchet straps you need to secure the Tuft and Needle mattress. When your vacuum seal and tape unable to hold everything then ratchet straps keep them everything in right place. They’re one kind of insurance policy for you. Always try to use more ratchet straps in packaging.

By using those steps you can easily repack the Tuft and Needle mattress. We recommend you to manually roll the mattress evenly and then smoothly keep it under the mattress bag. It is not ideal to use vacuum sealing with new Tuft and needle mattress because it creates so much pressure on your mattress. They can causes deep damage to your Tuft and needle foam mattress.  The warranty of the mattress may also be affected by using this.

Sometimes buying a new mattress is more affordable than repacking it for moving. If your mattress is too old, you can buy a brand new Tuft and needle mattress from their website.
